What unique experience is on offer for humans in the month of April?
ANSWER: King of Pentacles
Leaders, stand up.
King of Pentacles is not an answer to the question per se, it is a profound directive, a call to action.
The Grand Beings of the Universe are asking for humans to be their best selves, NOW, to take control, perform everything in life with intention and mastery.
King of Pentacles is a court card in the tarot, which means it identifies as a person; it is more of a personality than an energy or situation.
King of Pentacles is an impressive, successful man who acts on his vision, makes concrete steps and works from the bottom up. That’s the only way he is such a good boss; he views everyone’s jobs with acute clarity because he himself has performed them all.
On an elemental level, King of Pentacles is Fire of Earth; he is living out his soul purpose (fire) in the material world (earth). He is the master of both realms.
There are many humans who are overwhelmed by physicality. After incarnating into the temporary flesh suit we call our body, the person either thinks this is the only reality, dismissing the validity of pursuing callings higher than motivations offered through physiological faculties, or the person is so disconnected from the physique he/she/he-she finds it difficult to function in the material realms out of a longing to be somewhere else, the Source domain, where there is no suffering.
The King of Pentacles acknowledges who he is as a spiritual being and as a physical Earth mortal. He has declared authority over both; he is not a victim of one or the other.
The decree issued to humanity through King of Pentacles is get on with it, do what you’re supposed to do. Death is sudden no matter what; do not delay soul purpose.
Leadership dispels fear. Leaders may feel afraid, but they act anyway.
The King of Pentacles is aware of his responsibility to provide for everyone: this is a huge obligation, one that requires deftness, practicality and a serious lack of ego. His life isn’t about how he feels or thinks, he is driven by his mission to deliver sustenance for the world, himself, his community, everything and everybody. This ruler works with other people, he has a whole team involved. The King of Pentacles is successful because he knows without powerful management of his daily affairs, the entire world will experience chaos. Although busy, his day-to-day activities aren’t overwhelming; he is balanced. The King of Pentacles has a set routine; wake up, eat, exercise, work, relax. There is no lopsided day where one area of life suffocates the other. And in honor of himself and others, he keeps his word no matter what; the King of Pentacles will not sign up to do something that is not in integrity or in alignment with what he’s already got going on.
There is truly a human struggle associated with being a boss though, especially when life happens, particularly things like sudden upsets. In some cases crisis management personality kicks in and there is a reaction to said upset, either fight or flight, hide, cry; a whole host of potentialities occur when faced with perceived catastrophe. A good thing to note is King of Pentacles is steady in the wake of upset. He realizes sh*t happens on a regular basis, sometimes things explode. But the King of Pentacles deals with the matter in a steady, calm, prudent, tenacious, exacting and conservative manner. He is a poised dude who acknowledges all occurrences, even if initially upsetting, have the potential to stabilize. He encourages the same perspective in others by mentoring, supporting balance and bolstering the leadership abilities of his community members.
There are no special dates this month, every day is a good day to be a leader, considering we are on Earth right now and the Sun is in fire sign Aries until the Inferno Star transits into earth sign Taurus on April 19.
KEY APRIL LEADERSHIP THEMES FOR EACH SUN / RISING / MOON SIGN:
Aries - Daughter of Swords: Manifestation of thoughts in an instant; like pulling ideas from mind and watching them form. This is the nature of Daughter of Swords. The daughter, like the King of Pentacles, is a court card personality, so this can be you Ram, or someone you know. The Daughter of Swords seeks truth, so April is all about writing a manifesto and making words come alive through behavior, actions. This can be literal, writing things down on paper only to actualize the ideas into form later. Daughters of Swords also represents things in print, like books, newspapers, magazines, contracts. Your mind to manifestation ratio is very high this month, be very clear about the things that come out of your mouth. You can think anything you want, but whatever you say is likely to materialize in some form, so be cautious and prudent: exercise leadership over expression. Make sure it's true.
Taurus - Shaman of Cups upright leaning right-ish: Shaman of Cups equates to King of Cups in regular tarot decks, so you are the second king this month, the ruler of elements Fire and Water. This means it’s all about taking initiative in the realms of romance, creativity and spirituality for Bulls in April. King of Cups is an emotional custodian; he offers an ear for discussion, a shoulder to cry on and ample hugs. Taureans do not have a reputation for being soft and cuddly, but in reality the Bulls are just as capable of being affectionate as anyone else. This does not mean entering cloying territory is imminent; the King of Cups has a very powerful control over his emotions. He, like all kings, are solid, masterful and authoritative. April is the perfect time period for all Taureans to be focused and disciplined in achieving long term personal, emotional and creative goals. Take note of the rules and boundaries you’re setting in these matters and stick to them.
Gemini - Six of Discs reversed: Overworked? Struggling with commitments? Six of Discs reversed suggests many Geminis are in need of rebalancing resources this month. Six of Discs is associated with the astrological configuration Moon in Taurus, so organic development is the flavor surrounding the task of managing assets (material or immaterial) and April 8-9 are critical dates for said objective, because this is when the Moon in our sky is actually transiting through Taurus. In essence, the difficulty surrounding making decisions about resources is there’s a huge “vibe” consciousness infused with choices; it’s not straightforward. There is a strong wait and see element, with emotions clouding the scene even further. There may also be a sensation of failing or not meeting expectations. However, these meanderings into the realms of failure are probably unwarranted. It’s time for Geminis to express their leadership by investing in TRULY valuable pursuits. Discover where you’re wasting time and energy, be honest. Six of Discs reversed can often mean being burnt out to the maximum, completely exhausted, spent. Neediness must be abolished. No more waste.
Cancer - Nine of Wands reversed: The torture of stasis abounds. Nine of Wands reversed indicates a movement purgatory, almost being suspended in time. The limbo is upsetting. Here’s the deal, Nine of Wands reversed asks Cancers to pick your battles wisely. This card suggests Crabs have been going to bat for something hardcore recently and may need to step away from the battlefield, stop defending and take a second look. There is nothing wrong with standing your ground, but fighting takes a lot of energy and so much is happening in life for Crabs right now, it is imperative to be choosy about which stance to stand hard on. In some cases Nine of Wands reversed suggests a battle that is over in reality, but the person in question thinks it’s still raging. Shell shock is a distinct possibility right now. Express leadership by powerfully retreating from certain objectives. The best time to do this is when the Moon is in Sagittarius from April 24-26.
Leo - Three of Swords: Soap opera level drama, worry and deep wounding are most likely present when Three of Swords makes an appearance. This is true heartbreak. And although some people feel as if they are weakened by sorrow, in reality, there is so much strength in pain. Three of Swords is attributed to Saturn in Libra, a transit that took place from the close of 2009 to October 2012. Think back to this time period, some person or situation caused wounding then and you’re dealing with the damage now. Dealing with trauma or grief through counseling is a very powerful expression of leadership for Leos right now. Resolve the matter for good.
Virgo - Four of Cups reversed: Virgins, the maturation process is over, renewal is ready to emerge. Four of Cups reversed suggests apathy may exist around new opportunities. There are so many options to consider and it may feel as if said options have been reevaluated over and over again. However, Four of Cups promises a breakthrough. Look to April 12-13, when the Moon is in Cancer, for some serious progress with this. A premonition or prognostication of some sort is coming and will provide incredible affirmation. Other people will help you. Four of Cups in upright or reversal form can sometimes feel a little isolating, but the message of this card emphasizes interpersonal support.
Libra - Six of Swords: Moving on and embracing a higher perspective are imperative actions for Librans to take right now. There is a transition taking place, it could be literal, like going on a journey, moving out, or taking a road trip. Six of Swords is associated with Mercury in Aquarius, a transit that occurred from February 13 to March 4, so something developing at this time is a critical part of the current situation. Whatever cropped up during this time period requires a proper and detailed analysis. In April, vision is all-encompassing; a scientific deductive process makes everything clear. Feel free to brainstorm with others on this, their insight will add even more acuity to perceptions.
Scorpio - Strength card reversed: Control issues abound. In some cases, Strength reversed can indicate feeling weak, disenfranchised and useless. However, this isn’t always what Strength reversed represents, as it’s also possible inner strength and resolve are present in a dynamic way. What’s true for you? In any case, Strength card reversed is portentous and it also possesses strong advice. First off, whatever is being worked on right now, whether it’s a professional project or some other type of pursuit is unlikely to reach fullness until Leo season - July 22 to August 21. In terms of advice, Strength reversed asks Scorpions to keep the faith, be true to Self, and to cultivate and nourish internal dynamism.
Sagittarius - Emperor to the right: There is a huge, forceful push in one direction. Emperor to the right suggests the possibility of overdoing it. Too much of one thing is not beneficial. Exercise leadership by switching it up. Creative prowess is emphasized for Sagittarians right now, which is certainly a good look, but when Emperor appears there is likely to be an element of aggression present. Be present to overexertion; this leads to rigidity, because there’s so much emphasis in one particular direction, every other alternative is deemed invalid. There are many paths to the same goal. Tunnel vision doesn’t work for lasting leadership, it’s too myopic. Beware of going too far. Emperor to the right means there is so much energy present to make stuff happen, use this energy to do just that; there is the potential for this vigor to be destructive if it’s not funneled into functional and beneficial activity.
Capricorn - Eight of Swords: Many Goats may be feeling as if they’re living in a bizarre La La Land right now. Eight of Swords is an interesting card because in tarot it usually means feeling confined, but its astrological association Jupiter in Gemini indicates an energy that is the total opposite of confinement. Jupiter in Gemini is expansive communication, so when Eight of Swords is present, the extensive potential of each idea can feel so overwhelming and broad, the logical conclusion is to stay put and do nothing. What this means for Capricorns in the month of April is maybe staying put is not such a bad idea. Allow for a direction on ideas to clearly emerge before acting on them.
Aquarius - Five of Wands to the right: Straight up aggro. Five of Wands to the right is suggestive of being ready for a fight. If there are any competitions coming up, Aquarians will be formidable opponents. There are going to be a lot of divisive opinions shooting back and forth in the immediate environment and standing up in direct confrontation seems to be the best way to deal with contention right now. Five of Wands is associated with Saturn in Leo, so from a Vibrational Astrology perspective, it is imperative to remove any artifice or superficiality surrounding the authentic expression of individuality. This issue is about a legacy that will live on beyond death. Although hubris isn’t warranted and won’t help, standing up and addressing things head on while allowing others the space to be equally forceful will make this creative, fertile time period so rewarding.
Pisces - Temperance to the right: A divine push is occurring right now, we’re talking master flow, in tune creation, master traveling, both in the material and spiritual realms. If this does not sound like what you’re doing then it is imperative to get going in this direction Fish Person. If this is what you’re accomplishing right now, be very cognizant of not overdoing it; the energy being generated can easily become too much and too hot to handle. Express leadership through temperance.
TIPS, SUGGESTIONS & NOTES FOR THE MONTH:
- Gauge, Adapt, March Forth. The whole objective in April is to balance out life affairs. For example, if you’ve been engaging in several spiritual healing sessions back to back, but other areas of your life aren’t working, like financial, romantic, family, health, etc., then it’s time to focus on mastering the ‘out of whack’ areas, not spiritual pursuits. Some people are already courageous leaders, so for these folks King of Pentacles offers a chance to enhance leadership through education, taking on new pursuits, or just straight up chillin’ and infusing life with recreation. Gauge what is off-key, adapt daily schedule to find balance in these areas then march forth in the pursuit of equilibrium.
- Be conscious, conscientious, poised and aware.
- Watch and be hypnotized by burning logs.
- Study combustion.
- Discover the essence of matter. What does it mean to be solid? Literally, in scientific terms?
- Stick to a solid routine.
- Understand climate change. What happens to the environment when resources are exhausted and mismanaged? Stress.
- Learn. Amplify knowledge, share discoveries and invite others’ input.
- Get involved. Share your leadership with others.
- Embrace practicality. Do not overlook mundane or “boring” everyday affairs. They’re important to maintaining the integrity of life in a physical existence. Make sure your sh*t’s on point. Of course life happens, but that’s no excuse to completely ignore a vital part of existence. Plug leaks and keep checking in on them, like a BOSS.
- Budget. This is not the time to go gambling.
- Rise to the occasion. Accept every opportunity to express your leadership.
- Don’t be an asshole. Leaders are leaders because they honor everyone’s job, they honor the merit of everyone else. Arrogance has no place here. It’s all about mutual respect. Ego remains in check.
- Support other people’s leadership. Literally tell people why you value their abilities, knowledge, assets, essence, what they bring to the table.
- Fire associates who are not up to standards. The integrity of your life depends on the level of integrity possessed by those you work with. If they are not up to par, end association. Being selective benefits.
- Assess and acknowledge how you’ve grown over the years.
- Avoid burnout.
